Christina Kime notched a triple-double with 23 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds and the Austin College women got a career-high 19 points from Allison Taylor to close out the season on a high note as the ’Roos topped Trinity, 78-68, on Saturday in Hughey Gym.
The ’Roos won three of their final four games for a final record of 4-21 and an SCAC mark of 4-12.
Kersti Marusich added 16 points and four assists and Angeleena Young hit four 3s on her way to 14 points.
In the men’s game, Austin College (15-10, 11-5) shot nearly 50 percent from the field, but Trinity handed the ’Roos a 72-58 loss to clinch the SCAC West title.
Austin College heads to the SCAC Tournament in Birmingham, Ala. as the 2 seed out of the West and will face either Rhodes or Centre on Friday.
