SHERMAN — Progressive Baptist Church will be having its annual Boy Scout Service at 3:30 p.m. this Sunday.
Guest speaker and church for the day will be Elder W. Gilstrap, pastor of New Life Church of God in Christ.
The church will honor the Boy Scouts of America for ministering to young men all over the world for the last 101 years.
All local churches and the community are invited to join them as they lift up the name of our Lord and Savior and celebrate with troop 10. Homer Phelps and Rev. F. Johnson are their scout leaders.
Rev. Thurmon Dehorney of Denison will be speaking for the Boys Scouts.
Rev. Craig Davis Sr. is pastor of the church, located at 1101 East Houston Street in Sherman.
